Lys Malin Thomsen studied Theater and Media Studies\/British Studies at the University of Bayreuth with a semester abroad in Seoul\/South Korea. For her Bachelor of Arts, she developed her final project with the spatial installation “Form + Content” and examined gender stereotypes in children’s films in her bachelor’s thesis. She is currently studying for a master’s degree in Film Studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. She is a scholarship holder of the Max Weber Program Bavaria and the German National Academic Foundation. There she is researching as part of a co-worker on the topic of affectivity and the popular and is involved in the Studienstiftung’s ambassador program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the department, she works as a student employee on the “Mapping German Film Exile” project, where she is responsible for editing texts, researching literature, maintaining databases and accompanying workshops. In the winter semester, she also supports the lecture “Approaches to Film History” for the bachelor’s program and offers a tutorial for the students.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-tabsitem>\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-heading>\n\n\n\n
