Sarah Horn studied media studies in Cologne and Bochum and was a fellow at the DFG Research Training Group”Documentary Practices: Excess and Privation” at the Ruhr University Bochum. She received her PhD with a dissertation on queer temporalities in trans* video blogs. She is on the editorial board of the journal “kultur & geschlecht”. From 2020 to 2022 she was spokesperson for the working group “Gender/Queer Studies” in the Society for Media Studies and part of the DFG-funded Scientific Network “Gender, Media, and Affect.”
