Tullio Richter-Hansen (Dr. phil.) is an academic staff member in the Film Studies program at JGU and editor of the film studies journal Nach dem Film (co-editorial coordination 2021-2025). After completing his study and doctorate at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main with a fellowship from Heinrich Böll Foundation Berlin, published as “Friktionen des Terrors” (2017), he had several stints as post-doctoral researcher and teacher in Film Studies at JGU between 2015 and 2020. In between, he was an academic staff member in the Seminar for Film Studies at Freie Universität Berlin, where he also coordinated the DFG research project “Figurations of Difference in Moving Images” 2019-2022, and worked on a post-doc project on the entanglements of film, sport and difference.
