Unrealized Scripts of Sergei Eisenstein
Dustin Condren’s dissertation deals with Sergei Eisenstein’s unrealized scripts (Capital, Glass House, MMM, Moscow) and Eisenstein’s theory of dramatic construction in comparison with the modern ideas of storytelling in film. The thesis analyzes Eisenstein’s methods of enfolding the subject into a dramatic textual form and then to transform it to moving image using the large frame of Eisenstein’s theory of artistic method.
